I am seriously annoyed that Dutch means Netherlands-related and not Deutsch like is just and right and like it used to mean. English is a Germanic–uh … Dutch–language, so why must we use the name of the Roman province and not what we used to call ourselves? England, Scotland, Netherlands, Denmark. All Dutch named for Dutch countries. But the land whence these tongues came, Germany, Germania. Really?
